Don't plan on it. If you go looting for weapons, these are some general chances of what will happen:

70% chance: Find that the store has been licked clean.
15% chance: Find that the store has been barricaded.
14.999% chance: Find a weapon, but not the one you intended.
0.001% chance: Find exactly what you were looking for."
