given that a physical land bridge exists between north and south america, It would be impossible to consider north america infected, while south america is totally unaffected. This 10 day chart makes a lot of assumptions and is rather opinionated.

the Panama canal seperates the to major American continents. Any bridges and locks that could carry foot or motor traffic would be blown by the military during a crisis . Oh yeah, Also the African continent is seperated from Asia and Europe by the Suez Canal.

But the same way a plague would have to jump from Europe or Asia to the N.American continent would insure it would jump to S. Amer. , Australia and Indonesia.
