screwdriver launcher

basically it is PVC pipes taped together with an explosive backend. you light the fuse and the gunpowder explodes like a in a cannon, except the ammo is a screwdriver. the launcher should be aimed at head. i also say the infection is coming soon. but you need at least 2 to 3 PVC pipes. 1  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Sounds like a darwin award waiting to happen.
PVC pipe is not strong enough to contain and direct a gunpwder blast, unless the charge was miniscule.
Basically it would blow up, with out pushing the screw driver out, this is a landmine, not a launcher.

PVC TAPED together? Taped? Duct tape (if you spring for it, probably not) will not contain an explosive blast, even if the PVC would. Best case scenario the blast comes out through the joint of two pipes, probably somewhere very near your body. Do you find this valuable?

I have to contest the *ducttape hold explosives* Idea. Check this sh8t out:

Be realistic. They are like a horde of rats, you kill one and 2 more come up to replace him.

omg their as numerous and intelligent as a zombie hoard.

But seriously if you capped both ends of the pvc pipe and throw it you'll have an okay IED. though that will only incapacitate/ slow down a few zombies at the most. still if you make the blast big enough it should prove useful.

Don't most guns have to contain a few thousand PSI to fire a bullet? I think that using a much bigger and heavier projectile would require more force to be shot out making the PSI even more when the powder is lit, so the thin PVC pipe would explode in your face. Also a screw driver is not meant to be shot out of any gun, so it would not be accurate at all since it wouldn't have any spin and would probably end up flipping through the air and missing the zed completely. 9mm Luger - $0.25 a round

.223 Remington - $0.40 a round

.357 Magnum - $0.48 a round

.50 BMG - $4.50 a round

Screwdriver cannon - $6.00 a round

Actually getting the point that your idea was ******* horrible - priceless

Just stab them with the damn screwdriver. You can find a whole lot better things to do post Zday than build a cannon that shoots them. Stabbing them would be more accurate as well.

Seriously, dude. If you try this, not only are we not responsible, but we expect a Youtube video.

I've been reading this thread, I may have a bit of a solution.
Keep the PVC, just get bigger pipes. Why you gonna tape them together when you can get one big pipe.
Next, scrap the gunpowder idea. There's a chance that thing could turn into a ticking time bomb. Now, you could use compressed gas, but that also produces a force which could murk your cannon (pipe flies off, splits, blows up, tank flys off). Instead, take a bungee cable, add some small adjustments and make it more like a super slingshot with a long barrel. Almost like a blow gun but without the air.

I've shot screwdrivers with my homemade air gun. They tend to tumble in the air, becoming pretty much worthless. Do you find this valuable?

Yea I guess so, as long as the handle is the heavier part it probably would tumble in the air. What about the screwdrivers with the extra long... Dang I don't know what it's called. Anyway, i've seen some pretty long a$s screwdrivers at hardware stores. Could be turned into some kind of bolt easily.
