PROS/CONS Of different zombie types.
Nov 15 2009, 11:51 AM EST | Post edited: Nov 15 2009, 11:51 AM EST
What do you guys think the pro's and cons of the different type of zombies are?
Such as the rage zombies (28 weeks later) I am legend zombies (if they can be considered zombies)
Resident evil zombies (Includes lickers and such..)
And which would you prefer in a zombie apocalypse?
Do you find this valuable?

Out of all of those. I'd take the ragers. They are most likely to exist and they are easier to deal with zombies/vampires with uber strength and speed or zombies who have physic powers and are uber strong yet again.

George A. Romero zombies, ala Night of the Living Dead or Dawn of the Dead, or Max Brooks' ZSG "Solanum" zombies.

Slow, mindless, feeding machines that will do anything just to get to a meal.

Yeah George Romero zombies aren't too scary.

But what about I Am Legend smart creatures?
Or worse.......Left for Dead Tanks, Hunters, and Smokers?

Yeah my preferred type of zombie is the dead one.

My least favorite is the 12 year olds who rave on and on about how a katana is a more effective weapon than an assault rifle.

"they're so sharp they can cut though a tank."

Yeah, ugh, none of them are good. You get either rabies-infected living targets, super-human living targets, or somewhat sluggish dead targets and super-bunnies. Do you find this valuable?

True. Psychic zombies that both remove our most efficent method of communication and have telepathic powers? Bad news.

That book annoyed me. It started out so damn good. The panic and chaos in the city was so gripping and authentic. Then the flying, telepathic people just over did it for me.

I mean, it was a neat enough ending and all, but it was like an M Night Shyamalan movie; they should have had someone else come and write the last quarter of it.

I doubt we will have to fear flying telepathic people.

Unless we are dealing with the Teletubbies......

Yes. Apparently, the zombies from left for dead will eventually die on their own

by the way, are left for dead infected by bites?

Oh god yes... zombie teletubbies. You could probably break their psychic powers by shattering the glass on their built-in tv's though.

If we're dealing with teletubies then we should live. Cause they have a nice bomb shelter ready for us to move in. Also remember the baby in the sun.....

I don't know. They survive plenty of close encounters with the zombies, but then the creatures don't seem to actually bite, they hit. It could be an airborne that only some are immune to, or something similar to that.

I read on Zombiepedia that they will eventually die on their own.

However, fighting a tank or hunter zombie would SUCK

you mean the ghouls?

Slow zombies woud rule, but they can take much more damage than just a human infected.
