Entrenchment Tool: It looks like a shovel that folds up, when open is a couple of feet long.

There are several versions: From the sturdier (and generally rust prone) older Mil Issue ones, to the cheap and breakable WalMart ones.

I prefer the vietnam ear E-tools they of course the sturdier rust prone verity. But the also have a pick end. I had one but alas I traded it to friend for doing a bunch of electrical work that he did for me. He is taking very good care of it.

Military grade machete + riot shield would do just fine especially when fighting 3+ zombies. And a secondary weapon that takes little effort to behead is a two handed claymore if you can find a battle ready one. Sadly until i can obtain any of those, i'll just have to stick to my bokken and WWII rifle with a bayonet 1  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Little effort? Those things are back-breakingly heavy. Unless you're using one as a primary weapon you're just crippling yourself with a lack of speed and mobility.

"really? a naginata? is it battle ready? who was the manufacturer?"
yes it's battle ready. In fact I own three swords as well. I get my swords and such off Weapon Masters.com. However I got the naginata from a buying selling and trading site called iOffer. I'm not sure the actually manufacturer. I just know it looks great and is fully functional.

it takes little effort as in technique and exerted force needed to behead. And as for the machete and riot shield being 'back-breakingly heavy"... maybe for you but i'm pretty sure i could handle it with ease 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I'm sure he meant the claymore... If you want to use a shield get one now and start learning to use it. Forget the riot shield, it is only useful to block with, Get yourself a good round shield. A true shield is a WEAPON, and may be better for dispatching zeds than most of the weapons suggested on this thread.

I know he meant the claymore, that's why i mentioned it takes little effort or force exerted to behead. and as for the riot shield only being good for blocking.. you apparently don't understand another reason for why they're used in riots ;)

No I do... I have training, do you? The issue is that they have no where the amont of mass to be used as a lethal weapon, intentionally. A serious shield built on the principles of the medieval shield is far more effective for LETHAL combat. When I say useful, I mean useful in a life or death situation. The riot shield is a fine protective device, it even can be used to subdue a pesky rioter, it will not crush a skull in one hit. Will you have time for two?

Besides, do you have a riot shield? If not good luck, every teenage wanna-be Rambo is gonna be on the lookout for them.
