I really don't know where to find it, but it would be nice to see 9 mm luger and 357 mag cartridges weight.
Do you find this valuable?

"I really don't know where to find it, but it would be nice to see 9 mm luger and 357 mag cartridges weight."do you mean what each particular round weighs or bullet weights? Do you mean the comparative weight of 50 rd boxes of each? Insufficient information to compute Do you find this valuable? |

And why 9MM and .357 Magnum? There's a slight difference in rounds there if you're trying to compare them.

Perhaps it is helpful to realize that there are a wide variety of 9mm and .357 mag cartridges. There is quite a bit of difference between full-metal-jacket, hollow point, ballistic tipped, soft-nose, etc. rounds, and usually multiple weights of each type per cartridge type. Some 9mm will weigh more than some .357 ... and visa-versa, of course. I'm not trying to compare this different cartridges (yes i know it's hard to belive but i know the differences between them) and i know that there's plenty of different types of rounds. Maybe i'm a looser but i can't find information about weight of 50 rd boxes (thank you MajorDamege) of this types of ammo. But i thought that this information may be useful for other people who trying to calculate their BOB weight, and of course for me. P.S. I'm new for this site (and for this language :), so please don't kill me too fast. P.P.S I think on this page must be shown some common (like already shown 5,56, 12g) cartridges like 9x19, 357 mag, 22 lr and others. Do you find this valuable? |

Welcome Tallahassee. What is your primary language? For BOB purposes, it will depend on the individual how much space/weight they plan on dedicating to ammo (10%, 50%, etc). Also, keep in mind that ammo in a box or bag is essentially non-ready use. If it's in a magazine or speedloaders, then that's ready use. Loaded magazines in pouches/pockets should not be counted, in my opinion (IMO) as they will be used in short order and stored on the person. Do you find this valuable? |

Well you can use ammo right out of the box if youre weapon have tubular mag. It's not so "comfortable" but in times of need...P.S. Primary language - russian and i'm not very familiar with english. Do you find this valuable? |
