A proposal for a new rule

Any thread with a suspicious or buggy link or address should be deleted.

I say this because it does no good to have them exist. There is no appeal for those who have been permabanned under a proven attempt to spread a bugged site.

If this proposal hold merit than fine. If not explain why. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Currently there is a rule in place that says no threads should be deleted. It is sometimes applied a little too zealously, but given the spate of linkspam, I think it will be at least temporarily lifted to deal with this. Do you find this valuable?

I'm just saying as a specific provision. If the link is dirty and the thread locked why point does it have in being here? Do you find this valuable?

And whilst I would have liked to just delete the thread right off, it needs to be seen by another member of the mod team first, just to verify that what happened was ban-worthy. It avoids any disputes in the long term. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
