A Crane Trap

Okay this will use a variant of Timber's idea for letting a controlled group of Zs in out lined here.
http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/Allowing+entry+and+controlling+the+breach+plan.

However instead of a cattle gate I'd use a simple sliding gate with a human-operated crank.
This would lead to an isolated pen which Zs would pile into.
Then a hand operated crane with a heavy flat weight at the end would lower the weight down to the pen on guide-wires and after a few feet be released into free-fall.
This would crush the Zs.

The main problem is that I haven't figured out the best way to get rid of the Zs after the sandwich-making is over.

Make some suggestions as you let this plan rattle around between you all.

How about they are standing on a cattle grid that has a runoff trough? After they squish, you just hose it down and set it up again. Do you find this valuable?

Well there'd still be the actual bodies. Would this trick work for those as well?

Sharpen the cattle grid, and use a very heavy weight :)

I approve of this plan! Good thinking Carnack. I wish I had more to add but Pedro has already come up with some good ideas for making this work.

If you didn't have a crane operator in your group it would take some self schooling to learn how one operates but once you figured it out it'd be zombie squashing time.

Your gate operator would have to be suited up properly to keep from becoming infected. Rain gear, rubber gloves and boots would be a start and something to cover their face would be needed. Duct tape in all the right places and a good supply of bleach would also help,

Good thinking man!

All you need is some cable, a reasonably high tower on a pivot, and a crank that could be used by several people. The crane would be operated by a crank that several people could turn at once.

So it's buildable and it doesn't consume fuel.

Well... this would consume fuel, but how about a landfill? This would not be something you'd want to do close to your base (imagine the disease and smell) but could work. Just use a tractor to push the now-crushed-zeds into a ravine. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Maybe a Z-killing station? A settlement devoting to killing them?

I like your idea Stryker

Please forgive my short-sightedness. I hadn't thought of a improvised crane. Whoah man that is a sweet idea. No fuel needed.

If you had some form of beast of burden (donkey, horse, mule) you could turn the crank with less man power. Sorry, I had to get in a bump for the usefulness of members of the equine family.

This idea has merit.
