Caliber conversion by changing barrels
Dec 12 2009, 11:27 PM EST
With most pistols it is easy to change barrels and calibers. Here are a couple of online dealers for conversion barrelshttp://www.handgundirect.com/items-6373_Handgun_Barrels.aspx http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Products.aspx?CAT=241 Stopping power chart for those interested http://www.everydaynodaysoff.com/2009/12/08/stopping-power-of-body-armor-diagram/ Do you find this valuable?

Interesting thing to note: after a calibre change, even if you have a round that is mostly the same size as the round you used before, you'll often have to use spacers, or different magazines altogether. This is mostly due to length of the round, which can partially be solved by seating differently. It's also an issue for bottlenecked rounds. Example, 10mm Auto to .40 S&W, or 9mm Para to .40 S&W. Do you find this valuable? |
