If animals become zombified its going to be a whole new ballgame.

Imagine for a moment zombified rats or zombified bears. If it spreads to birds all bets are off. A zombified falcon would be deadly. Protein would have to come from plant sources like peanuts. Canned food would become more important than it already is.

I'm going to say its like any other theory.....About as possible as any other subject dealing with zombies.

I'd file this under "AOC" and consider it as something thats not likely but could happen. Never count on one sole means of gathering food. Cover all your bases.

agree with above
human zombies are one thing, but if the virus can hop species, humans as we know them will be extinct in no time
id like to think that most animals would be able to avoid the infected, since usually they can sense things like that, also, most animals will be much quicker then the zeds, let alone a normal human, like imagine trying to run up on a doe and take a bite out of her, not gonna happen

there have been several discussions reguarding this ranging from the fun of Exotic Zoo animals escaping like elphants rhinos lions ect...
Not being able to hunt because the animals may be zombies or carriers of the disease.
Even ideas addressing cleaning infected meat by cooking and other methods...

However the biggest threat are insects like mosquito's flea's and other insects either becoming zombies themselfs or transfering a zombie pathogen.
Then basicly all hope is lost unless you live in a underground windtunnel sealed off from the world lol...

The biggest concern on hunting is that the water ways the animals drink from is infected then we have alot of walking around dead animals!!!!!!!!! but I do agree that no zom's going to catch a animal Do you find this valuable?

I imagine that Zeds will be able to take down animals. Especially larger, slower ones like cows. Ever heard of a pack of wolves taking an elk or moose? It would probably be similar to that.
