My school...

My college (high school to Americans I guess) is a converted office block, two doors: one at the back, one at the front. Shouldnt be difficult to defend to be honest...

"To be honest, the Original Post couldn't have been more vague unless it simply said:OK OK SORRY... Basically its a great big rectangular brick. There is an entrance about midway along one wide side of the brick, then almost opposite that is another one. I'm sure there are fire exits somewhere but for the life of me I couldn't tell you where... Do you find this valuable? |

The back exit (the second one I mentioned) is in a kind of stairwell area which I imagine could just be filled with debris etc to make it impassable by zombies, add barricades to the doors and you're sorted. The front (first one mentioned) is one glass door, then another which usually you have to have a code for but im sure the zombies wont bother... that area between could be filled with stuff to make it zombie proof and both doors can be locked (every little helps). Then theres a door to the right after coming through the main entrance that leads down a corridor to the common room and library. Could be barricaded easily... just sayin', my school wouldn't be terribly hard to defend in my humble opinion.

Freem, grab a floorplan and I'll be happy to dissect it.I'm not doubting your assessment. Much as is the case with churches and hospitals, schools in the UK are often a lot older. Victorian construction was done using solid brick, narrow high windows and few doorways. A fire marshals worst nightmare for a building. Old churches in particular were designed to withstand sieges, particularly if it is 700 years or older. The problem is modern construction has huge windows, often floor-to-ceiling. Plenty of doors (again, likely glass) and fire exits everywhere. American high schools more than most, but the UK is getting to the same point quite quickly. My old, defendable college was demolished and replaced with what would now be seen as a "zombie open-house." PS nice avatar. Do you find this valuable? |

my school is not very large and it has a field that is basically larger than it is so we could make a good farm only problem it be prime target for raiders

So a thread about school then.....ok my school just have 2 exit doors ,and since my school is partially a church,it provides good sniping spots Do you find this valuable? |
