outbreak reports: possible?
Dec 28 2009, 7:11 AM EST | Post edited: Dec 28 2009, 7:11 AM EST
Hi there ZSDW, have read a local news paper today containing a small report on a police incident in rural/suburban Victoria Aus. Wondering where to report to... Anyways here's the story, probably not a case of outbreak :) Two police officers responded to calls for help from a neighbour reporting that a woman had injured herself on a glass window. (trying to get in/out?) When the two police arrived at the scene the woman proceeded to assault them wildly, biting and clawing at them, 8 police offcers were called in for support as the womans ENTIRE family attacked the two officers for NO reason: they were there to try and help! The article only made a small column in a local newspaper (sun/addy not sure) as of Mon 28th of December. Question: Why would a woman and her entire family attack AIDING police officers unprovoked, causing enough trouble for the 2 police officers to request a backup of 8 officers to subdue ONE family!!! Pretty random and retarded huh? 38  out of 40 found this valuable. Do you?

Remember the rioting in China this past August?

I'm starting to get a little cautious. Watch the local morgues! :P

PM if you need help.

Also, I just found Ryan on youtube, smart as hell in the way of survival.
Start making a lot of fire tinders. They are easy/cheap!

I have the same problem, but at least I have glasses to back them up

I'll be getting the surgery when my eyes stop changing.

you might want to get a little something together, even if it's not perfect. Somthing will be better than nothing. At least you have a bit of notice.

Kinelta is (always) right, simple things like a
couple cans of tuna,
a topped off camel-back,
your favorite stew recipe,
a tight hoodie,
good pair of warm clothing,
fire starting materials, (IE, firesquares or petroleum jelly cotton balls)
weapons, as well as a melee one!
shelter, like a tarp, or tent.
Actually, get a couple 10x10 tarps. 3 is good.
Also add plastic bags. Those can get water for you, from trees. (Look it up.)

Definitely the most valuable reply yet :)
We mostly either like/hate/tolerate your accents, depending on what country you're from. Probably not a very useful remark, but completely true. The best thing about the USA is that way more people are armed to the teeth, while over in AUS only six of my friends even own firearms let alone stockpile them :) actually one does stockpile them, but he's kinda redneck :) However, what a lot of people overlook, is the extremely large amount of farmers that Australia has that don't even know firearm licenses exist!!! One of my fathers friends possesed 27 illegal semiautomatic centrefire and 12 guage firearms (out of 49 longarms), but didn't even know that you need a special permit for them let alone a license. I could list more people I know )farmers and the like) who have just discovered their family inherited firearm is illegal, but the honest truth is there are still plenty of people who own illegal firearms that didn't hand them back in the buyback because they like them too much, and still continue to use them illegally. From peacemakers to 10 gauges and .45 revolvers there is PLENTY of hidden pre-buyback firepower :) The future isn't all that gloomy afterall!

oh yeah and TONS of middle aged 'normal' people in their 40's have machetes and the like from back in their good old teen years, kept to deter robbers. Actually I can name three in my street, but I won't becuase they deserve their privacy. They know they're illlegal, but they don't really care. (Actually, I think they're jsut restricted; will have to check up) :) 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

This is pretty recent. Somebody should make this thread featured. I already have a pretty good stash of supplies, but this really got me getting more, as well as some wood and other things for barricading. As soon as something big is reported, I'm boarding up and camping until it is either taken care of or I run out of supplies. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?
