My plan
Dec 30 2009, 3:25 AM EST
First things first, everyone in the world is freakin out while I gather my friends and wait til everyone in my city either leaves or dies (or until nobody is left on the streets) At dawn I will take my friends and myself to the elementary school across the small desert in front of my house. The school is small and it has only 4 entrances, which are huge steel gates and the entire complex is made up of bricks and concrete so all we really have to do in the means of fortifying is covering up the bars in the gates to keep the zombies from seeing us and somewhat muffle our sounds inside. If possible I will try to arrange a room for everyone and a designated room for everything else, like a storage room, an armory, and everything else I can think of thats useful. But I live on Arizona so water... its a ***** to get so Id make a crap load of rain catchers so when it does rain were in luck and we have some for later use, unfortunatly we would have to um... recycle water.... yeah it sounds bad but it works. When summer comes around were partly screwed because we would have to get the AC working which would take a generator or the painful task of using a bike generator. When winter comes around its a blessing because we can gather the frost and dew for the past night. My plan has a ton of room for inprovement so if anyone would like to add or remove anything feel free to do whatever with it Do you find this valuable?

The biggest failing in this plan is that you are only acting once The Panic has hit your area. Doing anything during this time that takes you outside your home has a high risk of injury or death from those who are angry and scared.Preparation is key. You should be making your stockpile now, and watching for signs. When you see them, you can act BEFORE the Panic hits. Do you find this valuable? |

"well.....maybe it would last a year"No school has a years worth of food in it. Ever. They have daily deliveries of most items. Purely from a storage viewpoint, they couldn't hold a years worth of food for every student. Just not feasible to have all that space just being used as a stockroom. Do you find this valuable? |

"thats what the ZSG said to do"If you look in my library, and on Wikipedia for that matter, you'll see that the Zombie Survival Guide is listed under the genre "comedy" first and foremost. For a good reason. <edit> In addition to that, what makes Max Brooks the one to follow? Did he write the ZSG out of experience? No. Although he does make some fair pointers, he wrote it as an assumption of what to do, as a comedic "guide" to something that nobody has any experience in. Just my opinion, obviously, but it was always meant to be taken with a pinch of salt. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
