step 1: pack my stuff ( food, knife, dog.)Step 2: get in the explorer, at 20 gallons to the mile why not (added plus working 4 wheel drive, and generally a full tank ) step 3 get Mikey and Logan rendezvous point is at Logan's (Logan has guns+ ammo, Mikey has more food ) Step 4: go to cabin in skamina county ( first checkpoint load up on food mainly dried meats.) Step 5 : if we still have gas load up truck and continue to wallowa lake, (Google it) the deer will literally go up to you withing pinkys reach. (second check point) stay at wallowa as long as possible due to abundance of cabins and deer. Step 6 : find gas (hopefully) if not walk to Bend OR ( third checkpoint) step 7 head to Wisconsin raiding as needed.( from empty houses I am not getting shot over god dang can of spaghetti O's step 8: trade with nearby survivors. if possible grow food in cellar (potatoes, tobacco, carrots etc) 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

"thanks although i have to go through Milwaukee to get to my final destination..."Then make sure you have plenty of extra gas. It doesn't hurt to have extra canisters of gas, you could even go out right now and get them. Tell your friends to do the same. Do you find this valuable? |

And if you have to get through a big city, be sure that you have a map, and a route planned. Be sure to stick to broad roads (lessens the chance of getting stuck on wreckage etc) and always have plan B,C,D ready. That'll get you farPs. try google earth if your trying to find something :) Do you find this valuable? |

Looks like a decent plan but, for Step 3, I'd recommend y'all decide on a rendezvous point if you haven't already. Of course, make a plan B and C in case the first choice is somehow inaccessible. For Step 4, I'd recommend you hunker down in the cabin for a couple of weeks or even a month if it's secluded enough and you have enough rations, to allow the initial chaos to die down a bit. Also, in terms of Step 6, I'd say you should not only have extra gas when you pass through Milwaukee, but try to have enough throughout your whole trip that you're not liable to be desperate for more at any point. Also, when you're going through Milwaukee, try to avoid the inner city as much as possible. Not only will the numbers of zombies and hostile survivors almost certainly be the densest in the downtown area, but so will be the numbers of abandoned defences and vehicles blocking your own vehicle. Try and stick to the suburbs and outskirts of the city and, like FinnishPatriot said, have a map and aim for broad roads. Like I said, though, looks like a fundamentally sound plan, judging from the outline you've posted here. Do you find this valuable? |

military base might be a good idea if you get there first (that is very unlikely) but a summer cottage or cabin far from big cities lessens the risk of stumbling upon zombies. Tell me more about this cabin your planning to go to? What kind of fortifications you have in there, got any supplies waiting for you there etc

"sweet nice to hear its a good plan. some of my friends think they can make it to fort Lewis by Seattle in a day or so ( were in Portland or.) "Remember that not all military bases/reservations are guaranteed to be safe or protected. An air force base is next to it, so there's bound to be somewhere safe around there, but it might not last long. Stay away from the veterans hospital during the beginning of the outbreak. Here's a map of the area. I don't know what the area is like, but if there are secure buildings along the border of Fort Lewis and McChord air base, that might be good. It depends on the situation. http://ebooks.aqppublishing.com/publications/g31/Fort%20Lewis%20-%202009/#page76 Do you find this valuable? |
