Ragers vs. Romeroes
Jan 12 2010, 8:43 PM EST | Post edited: Jan 12 2010, 8:43 PM EST
I have noticed that everybody on this site is obviously preparing for worst case scenario, but the majority of planners are planning with romero zombies. My point is that shouldnt everyone on this site be planning for ragers because surely they are a greater threat than the romeros? Do you find this valuable?

That's true. There've been a few threads about this.
The reason people are preparing for Romero's is that they are the most common and popular zombies, and are also one of the weakest.

While everyone should make plans to combat more dangerous zombie types (including extensions for Return of the Living Dead zombies,) Romero zombies are more easy and "fun" to plan for.

What aspect are you concerned about?

That is half true. Ragers are a bit more of a threat except for the fact they vomit blood, can feel when they are shot, and can die of bleeding out(so they think). But, yes they would seem like more of a danger until you look into it.

Ragers would be a little more annoying, but I wouldn't call them a greater threat per se.

They are just as easy to kill, as long as you're not a skittish b!tch about it.

it depends which way you look at it. ragers are a greater threat on a defensive standpoint because they run and think more then romero zombies.

on an offensive standpoint they would be easier to deal with because you wouldnt have to take headshots. you could gas them. and last but not least they would eventually starve to death.

romero's are kind of the opposite in my mind. they are slow and stupid but you have to shoot them in the head.

I'm still more worried about "the crazies". We need to dub that genre of zombies to I can stop refering to them as the title of the movie. Maybe a poll is in order? Can someone fetch me a mod? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

You thought wrong. It is a whole new classification of zombies and it presents a whole new fear of them. These, in my personal opinion, are the most dangerous breed.

he also wrote dead sea. it deals with traditional romero type zombies but isnt half bad. his books are inexpensive mass market paperbacks so thats a plus.

but if your really looking for a good read check out the "as the world dies" books. i have read 40 some odd zombie books but that trilogy is my favorite.
