police check points

if you are traveling down the road there's a chance you may have stolen equipment and theres a police/millitary check point looking for the infected and criminals. im just wondering what you might do in this event 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I would avoid just for the fact that there is so many people there that one of them has to be infected and all those people headed there may accidentaly be followed by zombies. Or all those people are bound to attract some kind of zombies.
Then throw in the fact that i have stolen equipment and the cops are there looking for criminals is a big no-no.
Unless I knew the cops I would avoid them. Do you find this valuable?

Avoid travelling through it. You should be looking to only travel before The Panic and well after it.

Restriction of movement is one sign of The Panic. So if your plan means travelling past one of these, you need to just Bug In at home. Do you find this valuable?
