Food for thought.
Jan 17 2010, 3:24 PM EST
Ok heres the scenario:Its been two years. The world is pretty much over run, pockets of humanity survive. You've been searching the countryside, and even enter dangerous urban areas in search of food. But you havent had a decent meal since shtf. Your last can of sardines is gone, you ate it yesterday. Weather you're alone or in a group is not important, theres no food. Upon searching one day, you find a building that has its own generator running. While you search inside, you find a refridgerator (working) full of food. Yes, there is a stove to cook your meal. what do you eat? Be creative, remember, you've been eating pickles and peas for two years. Do you find this valuable?

Eat light and wait for the owner to show up. Generator would not keep running by itself that long and anyone able to survive that well is worth knowing.

Broiled salmon fillet (cooked in bacon grease), with honey mustard/butter glazed sauce, broccoli couscous with a hunk of warm rye bread. Served with chilled a Sam Adams Imperial Stout and a large glass of Vitamin D milk. Yes, an odd combination (especially with the milk!) but I think its virtually perfect. Carrot cake for desert.

"Eat light and wait for the owner to show up. Generator would not keep running by itself that long and anyone able to survive that well is worth knowing."Good point but it's a really sick generator. :D Fine; you just cleared the place of zombies. I'm trying to emphasize that you found a $*** load of real food that doesn't belong to anyone, and you're mowing down on the best food ever after 2 years. What is this best meal? I don't suppose sushi would be on the menu? Only because that is what I am craving at the moment.I actually wouldn't want one particular thing, rather several things: *A big salad with lots of fresh veggies on it, and bleu cheese dressing. *Pancakes and maple syrup, with real butter *Cheese blintzes *Lasagna, really gooey with cheese, and garlic bread. *Brownies *Cherry pie *hot coffee, with beans from Yemen. *real lemonade Do you find this valuable? |

Lol oh sorry, I thought that's how you make a thread... Fail...So what about you, Stryker? Ok I know what I'd choose. -A full rack of beef ribs with BBQ sauce all over. -cheese fries with sour cream, ground beef, tomato and chives- kinda like taco bell, only I made it. - only the finest Greek ceasar salad with a side of fried calamari and tzatsiki sauce. -A chocolate icecream sundae.
