They probably don't care. There are more pressing issues (to them) than zombies.

Also, as to what they think of us: they probably don't care, either. People say that we're on government wtchlists; if the government watches us because we like zombies, then they're spending our tax dollars wrong (well...more wrong than I thought.)

There really arn't many of us. Many of those on this site don't believe it's possible. I doubt they think about it, or could without laughing. They have disaster plans, some of which are avaliable to the public. Look 'em up.

Welcome to the site, also.

Good point.

Many of us (me included) like to use zombies as a metaphor for other, "less fun" disasters (hurricanes, WW3, etc.)

Also, this stuff is just fun to talk about.

I personally doubt it happening, and am with SJ there, but why be caught off guard?

Seconded =)

I do agree...though the idea of traditional zombies is fun it is also highly improbable and i doubt it will happen(and if it does probably not in our lifetime). but definitely preparing for it and other realted things is good.

A large population of the world does NOT believe in zombies. We're in the minority here. As for the government, they have much more important things to do. If they wasted their time thinking of the millions of disasters that could happen, they'd never get anything done. Do you find this valuable?

Well, the point of a "traditional" zombie outbreak is that zombies won't be too much of a threat, given their slowness. Therefore, other, more conventional dangers (weather, raiders, lack of power, etc.) must be focused on.

I don't believe it couldn't happen and I don't believe it could. It think zombies could be real, things can happen, but the chances of any other disaster happening are greater than a zpoc. But if you plan for zday, you've pretty much got your other bases covered.
As for what the government may have planned... Anything they may plan for natural disaster

Which is different from what they're doing now, how exactly?

Well, at least they'd be thinking.

A government is still a group of humans. Technically, it's a testimony to human nature's failures, not a political argument : ) Do you find this valuable?

Bringing politics into things might teach you how to spell politics. Did that make things more difficult? Do you find this valuable?

Wrong question, governments do not think, the people in them think. Well some of the people. And, what they are thinking about is how to keep their job and get a better job. If they do not see a way to increase their money or power in a situation, it will be disregarded. This is a general statement and their are exceptions, but very few. 1  out of 1 found this valuable.
