first off, "cotton kills", the old survival addage applies in a zombie apocalypse. So jeans, and any clothes made from cotton, should be replaces with something that 1. dries fasted when wet, and 2. is more durrable. When cotton gets wet, it stays wet, will keep you cold, and restrict your movement, due to the clinginess. Wool however, will keep you relatively warm, even when wet. Just something to consider.Also, a .22 bolt action rifle will do little to no damage to a zombie. Even with a shot to the brain proper, there is a good chance not enough brain will be destroyed to render the zombie moot. I would suggest, as did the OP, a shotgun, more compact the better. A Mossberg 500 tactical is an excellent choice, and they are relatively cheap to buy. a pump BB gun is a great idea to bring along, just for hunting small critters for food though. Also, bring a katana, or machete, or some similar long bladed melee weapon. they never run out of ammo. and hacking through zombies can be a great workout. Do you find this valuable? |

if you wear wool in florida your gunna melt, denim jeans & jackets work just as well & they are made from cotton, & they dont itch like wool does a .22 will do enough to get the zombie away or kill if you know what your doing

Chadith, CallsignPyro is right for some time the .22 calliber bullet was called the "assasin's bullet" It has enough force to penetrate the skull, but not leave tear apart the brain from the inside.
