Community Story?

As far as I know, the community story has been in a state of disuse for a while.

The page is quite a nice mess, but I'd be willing to clean it up for a fresh start if anybody wants to try this again. We have better writers than last time, and a wider permanent crowd.

So anybody for it?

Dude, go for it!

Looking back at the old one, I will say it reflects the Mall-Ninja-itis the site was once plagued with. I'm not trying to flame, but some of it was genuinely ridiculous.

Conversely,

Seeing the largely educated user base coupled with not half-bad authors in the mix of things, I'm under the belief we could get something decent rolling.

I'll post in a few minutes [or hours, either or, maybe intermediary] on some ideas we could possibly hammer out for the beginnings of another Community Story.

The literary chum:

Bumf*ck, Montana: Random tourist-trap town coupled with a decent-sized semi-truck hub/rest stop area, conservation area, [fill in the blank] areas like that.

Northern Michigan Coastal town: Someplace like Rogers City [a very beautiful place in the Summer, I must admit]

Or, a lower-Michigan coastal town for those afraid of fresh pine scent:

Non-descript mid-sized Midwestern rust belt urban sprawl: It's stereotypical, I know....but still viable if various factors were modded to make the playing field more challenging. I'm thinking along the lines of Flint, Michigan:

I'd also have the season be in early Summer, like May or June....but none of this means sh!t without some willing authors ;-)
