300+ people is a lot. When you think about the space they will need, the food, the water, all the little annoying logistics, just organising them for the first week will be a Herculean task. For six months or more?

How are you going to handle that? What provisions do you have to feed 300 people for the first year?

And where are you going to get the water for hydroponics? I know firsthand that growing in just a 6ft x 6ft area will take around 200 litres a week. And the fertilizer is very specific. Try growing without it and you will have very sick, yellowed plants in the first few weeks, and then just brown mush thereafter.

Cardio machines generating electricity is a false economy. The people exerting themselves will require more food to power the generators than you could grow with the power that you produce. Unless you have a large surplus of food, AND a pressing need for power (surgery, etc) then I advise against it.

What you plan is to essentially set up and run a town. Difficult? Absolutely. Complex? Yes. Possible? I'm not going to tell you no (look at my own plan. A model of modesty and conservative thinking it is not) but you need to put a lot of thought into every aspect of this. Especially the mundane, everyday problems.
Do you find this valuable?

Thank you so much for the feedback. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your plans prior to writing my own. I have looked into the logisitics of some of these issues and have refined and retuned parts of my plan. I am aware that we are in effect setting up a town/communal village and am not to worried about it. As to water there is a pond, spring water, and several nearby creeks. Between these sources, groundwater, and snowfall/rainfall gathering. The fertilizer question is one which I had not personally worked on but one of the members of my group currently uses the hydroponic method for recreational purposes so I am relying on his knowledge. There are many fields in this area and the hydroponics are supposed to be a crop to last us through the winters and to help us attain a surplus. Several members of my group actually own and maintain farms near by as well. I agree that the electricity is a luxury and I understand the problems you point out however it serves several purposes; 1 lights at night and 2 to force our non-combat members to maintain a level of physical fitness. Do you find this valuable?

Sounds good, although be very aware that groundwater is not an infinite supply. Without rainwater replenishing it, it could soon disappear. Try and work out the minimum amount you will need, and see if you can find any indicators of how quickly the groundwater will fill back up. Do you find this valuable?
