MC's armor FTW.
Why? Cause you can punch through a brick wall with hardly any effort. You wouldn't even need weapons, you could just go Mike Tyson on all their zombie a**es.

"MC's armor FTW.

So can Iron Man... plus Iron man can fly... and can use concussion weapons to take out huge groups of zombies at once (well at least send em flying), all with just the armor. One thing the MC's armor has over Iron man is shields, but let's face it. Iron Man don't need no stupid shields! He got shot by a freakin tank and just walked it off. Granted, in the books the MC gets airstriked but he had to smack the missile at just the right time to deflect the majority of the blast away from him, and he had to limp away from that one... And zombies won't be using tanks or airstrikes (I hope) so that's pretty irrelevant.

Oh, just to mention, unless you're a biologically/cybernetically enhanced superhuman, you can't even use the MC's armor. The suit enhances strength, speed, and reflexes so much, just your brain sending an impulse to twitch your finger will make you break your finger, then your own pain induced contortions will procede to break every bone in your body and slowly and painfully kill you.

The varia suit, I'm not familiar with...

The Varia suit needs to be interfaced with the individual, including extensive physical modification. It has several things that are more or less impossible, like the morph ball and a nuclear power bomb generator. Do you find this valuable?

I would pick none of the above, because I can't get my hands on them. How does this help someone survive the zombie apocalypse? The best armor is the world around you. If you can avoid the zeds, then there is no need for a bulky noisey suit of armor. Do you find this valuable?

Yeah, I want a Mall Ninja Suit so I can use my quad PPCs on the zeds and melt them into puddles of goo.

PPC = Particle Projection Cannons.

And as a back-up, I want the Mall Ninja Monster from the RDF.
(Beware of color overload - phew painful to the eyes)

Come on people, let's be serious or post this thread on the bar thread where it belongs... :)

Edit - Oops, wrong cannon ... :-)

This is a really stupid and useless thread...but we are talking about zombies here. Is talking about power armour any more or less ridiculous?

If I had a choice I think I would pick the "Bio-Booster" Guyver suit. This biomechanical armour has razor sharp sword-like blades protruding from each elbow. The suit also has intergrated energy weapons. The suit requiers no power and no ammunition.

The suit, when not worn, is contained inside a small metal ball called a guyver unit. The small ball weighs almost nothing. The unit bonds with the host enchancing all of the hosts capabilities.

The Guyver Unit was designed as an all-purpose environment suit. Although the suit is commonly referred to as 'armour', the guyver actually changes many aspects of the hosts internal systems replacing parts and even removing unnecessary organs.

Currently, power armor is more ridiculous than zombies. In addition, not everyone is only preparing for ZPOC but all major disasters and APOC scenarios.

I just think this thread would better fit the bar area because you know what drunken bar talk digresses into - non-sense and/or a fight... :-)

Oh I don't know about that. There are a few military organizations working on power assist suits that are pretty close to completion.

The Hybrid Assistive Limb (HAL) Robot Suit, developed in Japan by Cyberdyne Inc. and researchers at the Kanagawa Institute of Technology is commercially available now.

There are also several ture cyborgs running around these days. The most recent is a man who now has a fully robotic arm that is controled by thought alone.

I don't know of anyone who has actually reanimated the dead.

I have said this before. I'm not just "ready" for zombies. I'm also mentally prepaired to deal with everythng from Aliens to Zombies.

ower assist suit that is commercially availible.

I probably would want the HEV Suit. First because I am a total Half-Life fanatic! (Half-Life was so much better than Half-Life 2) Secondly I would want it because it is much more realistic than some or the other suits.

However I will reiterate that this is a pointless thread on this site. We will most likely never get our hands on any of these things, thus it should be on a different website.

@duterfel

I posted a thread a while back about a group of scientists working at the University of Pittsburgh that reanimated a large test group of dogs.

Well holy crap...that's friggin nuts. I guess I better start working on my suit of robot power armour then. I don't even want to wear normal body armour...so I really don't want to be encased in my own steel coffin.

The dog experiment is more like suspended animation than reanimation.

I found someone online working on a mech, but your standard combat body armor made out of synthetic spider web is far off. I still think the rise of the zed could happen before any power armor is ready for combat.

And I agree, everyone here should prepare for everything not just the ZPOC and I already had a feeling that you were Duterfel.

How does that contribute to the discussion? It was a typo, big deal. :)
