Milford Marina and Spencer's Marina

These locations are adjacent to each other so it is easy to secure both. Also, as you may have gathered, they have boats, lots of boats. Both of the marinas lead to the Long Island sound, and from there it is easy to get to any state on the Atlantic. They are also easy locations to gain a foothold in Milford so that the zombies could be pushed back to eventually capture the entire town. I am the leader of the ZDC (Zombie Defense Consortium) and we will provide food and shelter for anyone who needs it, provided they aren't infected of course. Also, don't worry if you can't find either of the marinas. We will have three rescue squads in the area patrolling everyday for survivors. Just launch a flare and a team will get to you within 10 minutes. And the squads will have convoys of at least two cars/trucks, don't worry about room.

Aside from the fact that everyone who has a boat shored up at the marina will be trying to get there. What is your long term plan? Most metal rusts, and most boats don't have enough space to start growing any decent sized crop, so you'll have little to no food, not to mention do you have a water filtering system that could support you and your friends. In all you sound like a mall ninja, so listen to what others have already said, read http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/The+Panic http://www.zombiesurvivalwiki.com/page/School+Will+Kill+You Edit:Spelling Do you find this valuable? |

xOSSIM, do you have the means already in your possession to carry out this operation? If not, are you capable of legally doing so in the near future? Also, do you have the ordnance to back up this arrangement? How about ammunition, food, water, medical supplies, personal care supplies, morale boosters, firearms maintenance supplies, vehicle maintenance supplies and mechanics? How about fortifying the marina? You know Zeds aren't the only threat you'll face while running that set-up. right? Lastly, how about people willing to work for you? Do you have their allegiance? How about leadership training and working experience in leading people in real-world situations? Have that in your resume? If you can't HONESTLY say yes to every single inquiry presented, then be real with yourself and everyone else and start making those preparations for that plan instead of vouching for a service you currently cannot provide if the SHTF as I typed this. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. @ Vagabond & AgEnT-Yes, we have weapons. I don't personally own any firearms but i will be acquiring some in the near future. Weapons we, the ZDC own collectively include; 2 shot guns, 3 rifles, 4 pistols, and assorted melee weapons. -We have enough supplies to support 20 people for at least 3 months. -we have water filtration for drinking water on the boats and small wind turbines for energy. -There are 12 people, at the moment, who would follow my lead in a time of crisis. -We have six boats secured for our use only. -Depending on how the virus spreads, there is an endless supply of fish to eat. -Not only do we have medical supplies, but we have medical personnel. I wouldn't set put a RVE if i didn't have a plan to keep everyone that shows up safe. There are plans to secure more than just the marina. The marina is simply the starting point. And if all else fails there is a small island in the Long Island Sound that we can get to by boat easily. I know for a fact the island is uninhabited because it was turned into a bird sanctuary about 20 years ago. I understand that you simply want to make sure that everyone is made safe. But you need not worry, i have been planning this for several years now and I am still adding to it making it better. And I hope that if the time comes you could make it to us, you seem like you could be very helpful. Do you find this valuable? |

"@ Vagabond & AgEnTUnless they are protected or made from chrome your guns will start to rust from the environment. Having a boat is one thing, how much nautical expertise do you have? Do your ships have sails? Gas will run out or go bad And assuming that your supplies last you the three months, do you have any agricultural experience? A diet of fish alone isn't healthy The island you are talking about wouldn't happen to be Charles Island would it? That island is slightly bigger than my high school's lot and covered in trees by the time you could clear enough acreage for a decent land plot you could starve. Even if it was cleared is the soil pH sustainable for your crops? My criticism is to be only constrictive, to better your planning, so hopefully I didn't seem like a meanie Do you find this valuable? |

"Unless they are protected or made from chrome your guns will start to rust from the environment.-we do have the necessary supplies to keep the weapons operational. -Between all the people that are in the ZDC at this location, we do have significant nautical experience, enough so that if we needed to we could make our way to a different Atlantic state. -Two of the boats have sails so that when the time comes that we have to move and don't have gas, we have those. We could have more, depending on if all the people that own boats at these marinas rush to them on Z-Day. -about the agriculture, I had planned on getting together small parties of 3-5 people who would first search houses on the water for food, then move further inland until getting to stores. And no searching for food isn't very reliable because it is possible that looters already went through the stores and houses. But, what is also possible is to be able to secure parts of the land so that we could start farming on the land and that would be good. - and yeah it's Charles Island, and i don't know much about it, i was thinking of it as more of an escape not a settlement. Hmm... I'm looking on Google maps and I see Block Island it is ~100 miles east from Charles island.Having many fields, docks, even an airport and it only has a population of 620, if I was to set up camp on an island this seems like a good one, and the lower lake is called fresh pond could be a source of clean water. It's just a thought but it might be worth checking it out sometime Do you find this valuable? |
