We've got a couple open threads on this topic already but I like the title of yours best!Personally, I think that clothing should be tailored to the environment that the individual survivor is going to be operating in. If you're in the deep South, it might be too warm to skin up in leathers and hunt the countryside, but in the middle of winter in Wisconsin, leathers over layers would work nicely. Boots are a universal "Must-Have" item for country living, but if you're staying urban, a good pair of cross trainers might be the ticket. In order to give you a good answer, we all need to know where you live and what your plan is. I can tell you that there are some universal "bad ideas" too. Flip-flops and sandals are poor choices, as are heels and "hooker boots." In fact, it would be wise to rule out uncomfortable or poorly fitting clothing too. You need something you can move in! Some folks talk about wearing chain mail or duct tape armor - you guys go right ahead! I'd rather be comfortable and mobile. Do you find this valuable? |

I'm still content with my digital cargo pants and a t-shirt with a dark colored flannel (depending on weather)

I know I'm going to catch some **** for this, but I'm looking to buy an urban digital outfit like this:http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFront/default.asp? CS=armynavy&StoreType=BtoC&Count1=722683131&Count2=639823555&ProductID= 4337&Target=products.asp&utm_medium=cse&utm_source=googlebase If this is the same stuff I used to wear while paintballing, it should be light enough so i won't die of heat stroke, but heavy enough to resist a bite pretty good. Plus I'm getting some boots from there so hopefully I'll have it all before Z-day. Do you find this valuable? |

black denim with apropriate black cotton undergaments. could be paired with plastic underdress (a biohazzard suit), balclava(sp?), an assortment of vests and packs. simple and ninja like are always a favorite of mine. ideally it would be cotton undershirt and other unders, denim jeans boot cut, denim jacket, combat boots, some gogles, and a respirator (like the one in strykers pic, simply because the filters are interchangable, GI gasmask would work better), welders cap, helmet, but now were starting to get into armor lol Do you find this valuable? |

I was considering going Caveman Jack style... rock a Mammoth Skin Toga Wrap around... Or "300" style, just with a Katana & a Phone Book Shield .. 8-P I'm going with what I wear everyday (Civies) but with my Battle Rattle attached in some fashion. Do you find this valuable? |

And all I've got are skirts in my closet. But I'm guessing dressing the feminine type might not be so conducive to battling zeds.I think I'll take my husband's gii, at least the pants. Those are good for moving around in. And I can get them to fit me, too. Do you find this valuable? |

i hate to drag it up again but other than cloths. however, if you could have what you wanted, what would you want to be out fitted with.for me i'd like to have a vest with a 2 inch patrol belt thing, the vest would have in it: first aid, assorted reloads, 1days nutrition, camel back, radio, machette/other favored blade, hand knife, and a couple cat tourniquettes (think thats what they are called). *forgot, also a glockfitted holster for the 9ve, and shot shell holder. if it was a molle (terms?) vest that would be great too* i'd want an m1(or as close to current as possible) gas mask w/carrier bag on belt, then helmet (real kevlar combat helmet would be nice). standard pads and gloves would be good too. does any one know of any kind of biosuit you can wear under denim and over undercloaths? cause that would be super awesome if it was an every one can get infected thing and not every one who isn't already won't be thing. right, for me my clothes would be my fav baggy jeans, short sleave t-shirt, good old trainers, and dont forget my mac w/6 pockets, to hold ammo, pistol etc. but sorry to change direction on the topic, but what about strap bags? thought about rucksack, but then thought, if grabbed from behind, you're in big bollocks, if not dead. what would be your solutions?? "My normal attire; We dress similiar, strangely. My normal attire: A black T-shirt (Sometimes with a tank-top under it.), with a brown leather jacket over it if I'm cold. Blue or black jeans.. White sneakers A black bandana and aviators, booya! Only difference post z-day is that I would be wearing black cowboy boots, black welders goggles, black fingerless gloves and probably a hat of some type. Probably either a black cowboy hat, a black motorcycle helmet, or an army helmet. Though I don't know about the last two, 'cause they muffle sound. I just gotta carry lots of water arround to make sure I don't die from the heat when summer comes around ._. Do you find this valuable? |

My dress as I plan is going to be a pair of button-fly jeans (oh yea thats right), a tee-shirt or sleeveless shirt (depending on weather), Camo jacket, Air Force boots and my Zombieland hat. With my gear and all I will be able to move quick when I need to and my load should be light.

My personal feelings on the matter are that I don't wan't to give myself away by wearing all of my high-speed (lol) Marine Corps gear. Come z-day you will find me in a nice comfortable pair of jeans, a hoodie and some good running sneakers. Like LJ said though, its situational. If it's cold, I'll dress for that. If it's hot, I'll dress for that. If I *have* to blend in, I have my digital cammies. But a poncho rolled up in my backpack will do in a pinch if I have to hide something (or someone) real quick, or if it's raining and I'm out and about. Do you find this valuable? |
