"Burlington, the port. It's a large building by the river. This would be a great spot for survivors to meet up on Z-Day."Except it for it being in the middle of a city... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Well, it's technically not in the middle. Nobody goes downtown much anyway, and during a zombie apocalypse, I doubt people would think to go downtown. All of the food, supplies, and such are at wal-mart and kmart. Opposite side of town.(and HyVee)

Your still not thinking about it right, it is at a dock, anyone with a boat will be trying to get there and sail away. Or trying to board a cargo barge, or anything that is out on the water.

I would comment on what you said, but see my last statement. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Because Hollywood is a perfect example of what happens in the real world, amirite? Now, I feel kind of stupid now for saying it was political. So I will comment on what you said. Why would the government "shoot the civilians"? That's not only poor publicity for other people if that kind of stuff happened, it's also tactically retarded. As in "The UK is sending a fleet to aid our efforts, but we don't want help, so we threw a MOAB at said fleet." retarded. It's denying a potentially lethal ally with violence. Making them fight back against you. Smart move. Not to mention its citizens' taxes that fund all of those machine guns, tanks, bombs, and paychecks. By the way, soldiers are people, too. Not mindless robots. A little bird told me once that soldiers have an OBLIGATION to disobey orders that they deem unconstitutional, amoral, or whatever you'd like to call it. Going Hollywood-government style would be suicide in more ways than one. It ain't always the big-bag gubmint, y'know! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Why would the government shoot civilians? Why did the government cover up the space ship crash in new mexico? All questions that cant be answered by civilians. And besides even if they did try to evacuate it would end in disaster because government doest know what they are doing half the time.

BS. I would think you wouldn't fare so well without a government. no one to send soldiers, no one to to do ANYTHING big that concerns the nation. Try being the president yourself. Bet you couldn't handle it. But anyway, back on topic, I would have to agree with Vance. A port is never a good place for trying to outlive the zed apocalypse. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. If they wanted to save themselves, they'd just flat pool assets in the capital, not waste time killing harmless people. Can we move on, though? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I like how Whybother08 said they weren't going to comment, then did and kept it going...now it's all about politics..."Because Hollywood is a perfect example of what happens in the real world, amirite?" <---your talking on a forum about zombies and giving other ppl crap for being unrealistic. LMAO....You never even suggested a "meeting point". BTW maybe this will help decide the meeting point...http://www.cracked.com/article_18683_7-scientific-reasons-zombie-outbreak-would-fail-quickly.html 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"I like how Whybother08 said they weren't going to comment, then did and kept it going...now it's all about politics...Most of the people on here use zombie fiction as a means for learning more about survival and preparation. It's the fun way to learn. I for one don't believe zombies could ever exist but I am an active member on the ZSDW because I love learning about survival, this site is a plethora of knowledge.
