If your going North you would be so much better off heading over the bridge, into the U.P.. I'm sticking as long as I can in Spring Arbor. If I head out I am going to the U.P., because my family owns a cabin and 100 acres in the middle of a very large woods. Or south to southern Illinois, or northern Florida. The UP wouldn't be too bad, Isolated, plenty of fresh water, and really only one way in or out.

There are many ways to get to the U.P., over the Mackinaw bridge, threw Wisconsin, or by boat. The bad part of the U.P. is that there is a short growing season for any types of crops, extremely cold winters, lots of snow, small deer, and hard to keep livestock. Good part of the U.P. is that there is plenty of trees for wood, plenty of fresh water, tons of fishing inland and along the Great Lakes, lots of boats along the coast, sparse population (except for 5 or 6 larger towns), hunting {deer, moose, bear, rabbit, fowl}, and many empty cabins. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. I'm heading to the closest port people. You can easily turn a freighter into a secure home. the only problem to the plan is that there needs to be an actual boat to get into. Plus as I see it maybe the coast gaurd will be around tho unlikely.

Having worked with these people before I'm betting they would have the same Idea as you but be in a much better position to actually do it. They also roll with more firepower than the best gunstore robbing mall ninja has been able to post on here in my time. Do you find this valuable? |

I would still head to the freighters. Not all of them can be occupied. If you roll up with enough people and enough guns. They would more likely to be negotiable. Of course i wouldnt have the intent of fighting for a boat unless extremely needed.

You, on the dock, will shoot UP at people on the deck of the boat? You seem determined to find a bigger problem than zombies to deal with. Do you find this valuable? |

You open fire on them and they start launching RPG's or grenades or whatever, you're screwed. Do you find this valuable? |

You really expect a merc crew to have an rpg? Plus the fact that there are structure that surround the freight ship cranes building ect. Plus there is the posibility that the boat has been abandoned. Not every boat has a crew of mercs on it. You can try to argue that rpg thing but there is no way are government would allow a private security team to have something of that sort. I would personally take the chance to take a boat than be held up in a building.

staying in the water is probably recommended. zombies cant swim. living on a boat and going to shore to get supplies wouldn't be a bad idea.

Zombies might be able to swim. They can walk, run, jump, crawl, and climb why wouldn't they be able to swim? Also the fairly fresh ones will float. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
