Norman zone
Apr 14 2010, 8:22 PM EDT
Yes i know Norman is a college town, and that means alot of people, but that also means alot of people will be leaving. since i am living close to the mall, i would have people go to the bank on the southwest side of Sooner Mall. i dont remember the name of the bank, but i will find out and put it on here. once you get there you raise a flag on one of the many flagpoles out front. posting up on my apartment building roof, i will be able to see the poles. there are plenty of buildings around to hold up in for the time being. with radio contact i would convey a meet point with the survivors in need. i live in a large apartment complex, so there are plenty of upstairs apartments to use as housing for the S.I.N. .

I live in oklahoma too (Moore) and I think that the watchtower in the back of the car dealership that used to be marc heitz ( the one next to hobby lobby) would be a good landmark and it is right next to the highway. it wouldn't be hard to find for people who don't know the area, especially if you hung a big flag from it. I don't know wether or not you can even get to the top anymore but I bet you could find a way post z-day.

sorry folks... but i dont think the moore, norman area has high hopes. I'm glad i live in rural okc kinda like youre going to shawnee. just 2 miles south of 240.. but there is a school/church there off anderson and 240 called eastpointe. If i were sponsering an RVE that would be where. it's across the bridge from a fire department. Best of luck to all okiesDo you find this valuable? |

Sounds like you guys are wanting to pull from the pool of the desperate and needy as both the locations you listed are major no-no's for when sh*t hits the fan.

Agreed with Vaga, (You still look awesome in that tux by the way.) When you want to find a survival location, you really want to stay away from malls, or department stores, or any other high-traffic areas, you need to ask yourself, "How long did it take me to think of this?" If the answer is longer then 1-2 days, then the chances are that someone else had the exact same idea.

I have a cabin with a school bus next to it, converted into storage and extra sleeping area that runs off generators and solar power, backed up by diesel engine batteries that are also charged using solar panels. Not to mention the enormous array of weaponry and seclusion from anybody or "anything" (zluts) that would dare to step half mangled foot into my domain. Water, food, shelter, evacution(if need be) and means of transportation at my disposal, I'm third generation army ranger and special op shoot first ask questions later bonified killer. Bomb tactitionist and everyday f'n McGyver. 74 confirmed "marks" under my belt and oh yeah...I have a dog...who hates zombies. Do I sound pretty much safe?
