Call for troopers, marksman/recon, NCO & officer candidates
May 11 2010, 8:18 PM EDT | Post edited: May 11 2010, 8:18 PM EDT
I intend to publish duties for each rank/position.

In the meantime, I need a listing of volunteers for each rank (everyone is a trooper until 'basic' training is completed) and qualifications for NCO and Officer candidates.
Obviously, the best marksmen are eligible for ranger/recon rank after special training.

NCOs and officers slots are few and based upon the total # of the force. We cannot be top-heavy.

With a notional BDF of 25-30, 3 can be officers, 6 NCOs and the rest are troopers.
Do you find this valuable?

I arrived yesterday with a "sniper" rifle and my shotty backup. I have no formal Army Training but I am trained in both chemical and mechanical engineering (which will help) and can plink targets at 1000 yards with my rifle, or any rifle that we can get click cards made up for.

I have a modicum of explosives training and could, given enough time in the base, procure items that would melt through full plates of steel, and if i get lucky, even some c4... rather, the un plasticized form called rdx.

I made about 25 unconfirmed kills two days ago to the east, a few barbaric looking guys were walking around in a clearing aroung 1000 yards away from myself, I managed to take down what seemed to be half of their group, and went through 26 shells, but i think i missed with one. I would have brought the weaponry but they dragged the bodies away before i could get the rest of them.

So yeah, marksman here.

I think it was.

MajorD, I'm moving this to the Beacon category for you guys. If that wasn't the original intent let me know & I'll put it where you want it.

"Still I hear that mall ninja alarm going off in my head, anyone else?"
Bite my Smooth Supple Ass :)

the "sniper" rifle is a Savage TCP-K (chambered for .308 win... durrr) that gets .3 moa out to forever due to spending probably 100$ in bullets hand tuning the stock, and trigger as well as muzzle until it purred for me :)

The Shotty is a benelli.

I AM an engineer, currently my job too thank you. As for the explosives... RDX is nothing but some acid and hexamine, the melthing through steel is the survival incendiary thermite, aluminum and rust with a nice magnesium lit flame to start it.

Alright cut the crap. Listen up ladies, keep it simple:

example
Name: ultramallninjakillerx
Age: 17
Rank: Trooper with aspirations for recon/sniper then NCO
Quals: I have 2 yrs hunting w/rifle & shotgun (30-30 & 20 ga) plus I've shot a .22 lr & .38 revolvers
I can run a mile in 7 min and have hiked 15 miles for camping

Result: weapons safety, basic-mod proficiency, speed and endurance
after basic training w/1st class of troopers, select for ranger/recon/marksman follow-on
Provide opportunity to run a squad

now, is that so hard?

jeesh
:-)
