I think Morgan is a great place to be during Z Day. The population is miniscule, there is a lot of land wonderful for farming, and there are hills for defense. I have to talked with some buddies of mine, and we have come up with three suitable locations for a base, each with different ups and downs. The reason we haven't set one location for sure is because you never know the type of zombie you will encounter. Anyway, the rendezvous location will be at the Trapper's Loop Storage Facility (in Mountain Green) In the middle building, the third to last unit on the left side from the entrance, there will be a key. The storage unit will be open, with the key taped to the back of the door. To get the key, you will have to shut the door, with you on the inside. There will also be a note telling you where to go from there. *hint, it should lead you to a walkie talkie on a battery charger. Use that, on the fourth channel to contact us*

A couple things to take into consideration:

we haven't had any military experience
most of us around the age of fifteen
We don't have a lot of experience, but we will not be afraid to pull a trigger on zed or raider
we know how to trap, raise, and kill animals
we know how to farm
we will begin building a base, but if it turns out that no one (as in a government) is going to offer us a place
of sanctity, we WILL move higher into the mountains
There are a few of us planning, but we are sure there is going to be more people coming (from morgan)

Other than that, let me know of any questions you may have, about what our specific plans are, or anything. Let me know if you think I have made a mistake to stay in morgan.

One other thing, that I know is going to be controversial in Utah:

Wouldn't the Salt Lake Temple (LDS) be a great spot for a fortification? The walls of the Salt Lake Temple are nine feet thick at the base and six feet thick at the top. Walls of solid marble, big, tall, and near enough to the mountains that if you were prepared you could get out in a hurry. I know this will cause controversy, but let me know what you think.

Its a church there will be a lot of religous people there & they will make a lot of moise therefore drawing the zombies there so no plus there's to many entrances to defend, lots of windows. Do you find this valuable?

Walls nine feet thick, if zombies can hear through that, then they can hear through anything, meaning they'll be coming anyway.

You will not be making it into the Temple. Sorry, but I believe the security they have now, will be more than adequate to kill an entire crowd of zombies, or survivors. There is some neat stuff going on in that general area. Ever heard of the sniper towers in the conference center?

As for Morgan, no. There will be far to many people coming out of Salt Lake, and from the Ogden area. It's really not that difficult to get there from either side. Maybe as a temporary bol, but I wouldn't want it as a permanent location.

Great. I will go there if the safe zone in fort carson, colorado is compromised. If your safe zone is compromised, go to fort carson. When you get to fort carson, listen for the callsign, triggerhappy. that'll be me. i'm also around fifteen. for more on the colorado safe zone, read DarinM.Annear's safe zone description. they even give exact latitude and longitude so that you can find it with a gps. 1  out of 1 found this valuable.
