Well it is very useful supply wise. Find a hummer and a shotgun, ammo(rob a gun or pawn shop to get weapons supplies), kill some zombies or infected, grab as much food, tools, water bottles, and other supplies as you can. Then get to a bank. Its made to keep people out, has about one or two exits meant to also keep people from getting in, and has camera's and a vault if an emergency were to occur and you or your gruop needs immediate shelter. Simple really. 2  out of 22 found this valuable. Do you?

If the first time you act, is when the zombies are at your door, you have failed.

If you expect to make it out of what will certainly be a crowded, chaotic environment, with everything you just listed, you are deluded.

If you are going to hide in a bank vault, just seal the door and die. Because a place with one entrance has only one exit, and that will be full of zombies.

If you are dispensing advice within such a short time of arriving, and believe there is nothing we can teach you, you should put up your plan so we can read it. Because there has yet to be a bulletproof plan submitted.

This is why I think we should have the Green Rule:

Everybody who joins the site and posts a plan about going to Wal-Mart, a gun shop, a mall, a theme park, etc. and/or talks about "killing zombies" for no reason, going somewhere without actually explaining how, ETC...

They must donate $1 to the site or their account will be deleted.

Like a cussing jar. Everytime you cuss you have to drop in a dollar. This time, everyone gets their account suspended everytime they say something completely stupid, and have to pay $1 to get it back.

I like...

I agree, should we start a thread to have a vote? Or just be sure an admin sees this idea?

Everyones first idea is to get as many supplies as possible off the bat. But No one takes in account that there are other people in the world that are just as stupid. In any end of the world crisis I wouldn't go outside 100 meters of my safe house. Let all the stupid people thinking about going to a bank or Wal-Mart to get supplies and guns. After they are all dead, dying or undead then I'll start raiding and restocking my supplies. It is much easier too, all the dumb people out there packed it for you or it is in their poorly sheltered house. Smaller place to search and less chance of running into someone or something trying to eat you.

If these people don't think of how other people will react to a crisis or read the stuff like "Wal-mart will kill you" post then I say let them stick to their plan more for us down the road. And Thank you for doing the hard part for me.

OK. I'm going to change this post a little because since this I have been thinking about something.

I think most of us know why Wal-Mart is a bad idea and why to stay away. All the post and pages on it make it hard to fight it.

But WHAT IF you have to go into a wal-mart 2 days post z-day. Any reason pick one that will make you go inside that death trap. How would you do it??

My reason would have to be that I decided to see if there was fuel in their generators tank, and it was stored inside.

I would find a way to get to the roof access ladder, and break a top window. After, I would get a three ropes dropped, I, and two others would do our "deployment" into the Wal-Mart. We'd as silently as possible, get to the back, and if their was fuel, use walkie talkies to radio the outside crew, tell them the fire door to meet at, and GTFO ASAP. If there wasn't, I'd do the same, except without waiting to get all the fuel.

My reason would be: I need to maintenacne my Honda Element (oil, gas, etc.) OR get some hygene elements for our group (odd how nobody thinks to Panic buy toothpaste).

I would hotwire a truck, car, etc. in the parking lot and drive it through the front doors to make a diversion. At the same time the rest of my group would be quietly entering through the car serviceing center with shotguns, pistols, and machetes. We would quietly make our way to the isle(s) we needed and get the f*** out before any zombies or mall ninja zombies come and find us.

And I think we should create a thread in the Administration section... Second Shooter, I think you should have the honor.

i could save you the trouble
there are no generators, so no fuel
and the roof access is inside the store not on the outside of the building.

And I should save you whatever I would be saving you. Of course they'd have a generator. Isles of fridges, if the power goes out, they'd be screwed. They'd need a generated just in case.

And my Wal-Mart has outside roof access, last I checked. Unless you're stalking me?
