External Frame Backpacks

Hello there! I'm A. Don and I'm here to talk to you about why YOU should purchase an external frame backpack. External frames are highly advantageous over an internal frame for BOB bags and general carrying. "Why is that?" you may ask. The reasons are thus:1) Flexibility. External frames can be used for a variety of bags because most pouches can be strapped to them. This also allows you to convert them to a variety of tasks as well as strap bulkier objects to them. 2) Ease of repairs. When an internal frame backpack breaks, you can't repair the frame without cutting the bag. External frame bags can be repaired easily with a proper lashing or welding and then you can be on your merry way. 3) Storage size. Most external frame backpacks carry more than internal frames. Couple this with the added flexibility and you have a mean, lean, carrying machine. So next time you go to the store to buy a BOB backpack, I implore you, please, buy and external frame and save some pain. Note that while this was meant to be humorous I am dead serious. Buy an external frame or regret it post Z-day. I, as always recommend a military surplus ALICE pack. Do you find this valuable? |

We're familiar with the different types of bags and ALICE packs. You made good, clear points, but be sure to use the search bar to see if a topic has already been covered. Like I said, you made good points though, and the correct spelling and grammar is appreciated. Do you find this valuable? |
