time is survival

its come...the panic time is as valueable as survivng. when the panic comes you are gonna need to get the hell out of your home office etc. Few people will be ready. Just reading this survival guide is not enough. Sure you have valuable information that you would have previously not had and will give you an advantage over other people but what counts is what you physically do...

picture this...

a 18 your old reads all this side and knows everything about survival, and they may have even made their BOB . They have an idea on a few places they could go.

Now compare this to a father who has never read anything about survivng zombies. you may think hes got no chance but he might have a better chance of survival than the 18 yr old. He knows that they will attack him so he needs to protect his family and barricade his home..the chances are he wont survive either because hes left it too late.....

so my point is dont just read this but do nothing about it....when your faced with a zombie its not the information on how to kill them but the shotgun you bought 2 years ago if this would happen.

please comment as i am only 16 and i have not done much myself and i dont know as much as others so i'm probably wrong to some of you

We know that you have to do more than read. Most active site members are military members, veterans, hunters, etc. Those that aren't (like myself), also do more than just read by preparing and planning. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Most people need to work in small steps to prepare. It means accumulating gear one piece at a time, making a plan for the short term and then the long term. It means always updating your plans as your circumstances change.

Take some time to browse through the user survival plans, and it will give you an idea of the scope of prepardness for members of this site.

You are right though. Reading is important to expand your knowledge, but it does nothing for you if you don't act on it.

You forgot something, maybe the father of the 18-year-old even is the champion of the heavy-weight championship. But the 18-year-old has started a fresh life with minor relations with other peopple and probably as just ended is school life. Your 16 then you should know that that envolves getting in a lot of phisical fights, mental exercises like math, calculating. Then you should know that young adut male and females have more chances. Even thougt they have only a few arsenal of objects both edible and inedible. Im also only 16 and thats how i think. Even knowing that i wouldnt have a chance. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Most of has have multiple back-up plans, and we update them constantly

An 18 may well be more able-bodied, he still has the drive to protect his family does he not?

At 18 your pretty much done growing anyway.

anyway most of us don't plan on leaving our homes until the panic dies down

The 18 year old would have much more of a chance simply because of the equipment hes gathered. Considering your BOB is up to par, and that you wait until the initial insanity of outbreak on the news, the kid can travel and is alone. The father has most likely a wife, and possibly 2 children considering statistics. This only ads to the mounting pile of dissabilities that accompany harboring survivors weaker than yourself..... at this point it would be sink or swim..... I would swim. 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?
