great zombie warning alert (simple too!)

This is A tripwire, but not a very violent one. it's purpose is to alert you to someone (or something's) presence. You will need two spring-loaded clothespins, two wine corks, Aluminum foil, Fishing line, C or D batteries, light bulb, insulated wire with bare copper ends, and Adhesive tape.
Wrap foil around the ends of the clothespins. Attach your wires with tape to those foil ends. one wire goes to the positive terminal, the other goes to the bottom of the Light bulb, then tape the side of the bottom of the light bulb to the negative battery terminal. Punt the wine corks between the ends of the Clothespins and run the fishing line through them and make sure they are secure. put the clothespins under a weight of some kind (only the cork should move when the line is puled.) When the Cork is pulled out, the jaws of the pin snap shut, toughing the foil ends together, completing the circuit and lighting the bulb to alert you.

Or...you get a cans..you're following me right?

You get the cans and you tie them to a string. Then if the string gets tripped the cans clank together and make a noise.

Okay how about foil, a clothes pen, a 10 ohm resistor, some firecrackers, wire, fishing line, a Popsicle stick and a 12 volt battery?

Same set up for the clothespin wrap ends with foil set under something heavy, put a small hole in the end of the Popsicle stick and attach fishing line, attach a wire to each the positive and negative sides of the 12 volt battery, cut the positive wire in 2 and attach the cut ends to the clothespin, put the Popsicle stick in the end of the clothespin, attach the negative end to one side of the 10 ohm resistor and then the clothes pin wire to the other, tape the 10ohm resistor to the fuse of the firecrackers.

Now when someone trips on the fishing line it will pull the Popsicle stick out connecting the wires and completing the circuit. The 10ohm resistor will over heat and catch fire lighting the fuse and setting off the firecrackers.

This can be used for anything with a fuse and 10ohm resistors can be purchased on Ebay. You get 100 resistors for about 8 bucks with shipping.

Hope you like this one!

Don't use a lightbulb to alert you. That's idiotic. Remember that a person needs to sleep, and if zombies attack your area, a light bulb will not wake you up unless you have a very bright lightbulb and sleep with it in front of your face. The firecrackers idea is pretty good, but what happens if it rains or the fuse is too damp? Example, UK. It's damp, and rains a lot. I don't know about you, but I'd rather use bags filled with spare change or bells. Or at least loads of prox mines if I can legally get my hands on them 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

This is true. I guess you could put the firecrackers in a plastic bag blown up with some air in it so the bag is some what inflated. Also here in the states for a little extra you can buy firecrackers with water proof fuses. you can light them and toss them in a pond and they still go boom. you could also use this on a mortar firework. Make a huge boom and light up the sky as well.

Oh and I forgot to add the Resistors must be 10ohm 1/4 watt and you can get them on ebay 100 for a about 3 bucks with shipping included.
