I have to agree. Tap water IS fresh water. As opposed to salt water (the ocean) or mineral water (some bottled waters.)

Tap water WOULD be a rare thing a Zday +a week, maybe, after the pressure in the pipes died down.

"Tap water WOULD be a rare thing a Zday +a week, maybe, after the pressure in the pipes died down."And that is why you fill EVERYTHING in your house with it, so you dont run out so soon. But thing is, what if the WATER IS INFECTED? AHHHHH. Do you find this valuable? |

I live out in the country and my tap water comes out of a shallow well that is in my back yard. Plumber told me probably only about 15 feet deepWater has alot of iron in it but is safe If I lost electric I could pretty easly hook up a small gasoline engine to the pumps pully to run it I am sure.... .Actually been thinking about seeing into hooking up a pitcher pump I think most bottled water is somebodys tap water Do you find this valuable? |

Tap water in many countries is NOT SAFE!If you're not in the US, risk your life to steal bottled water rather than drink tap water. Diarrhea kills, people! Do you find this valuable? |

Also in some third world countries (like mine) raw sewage gets pumped directly into rivers and streams and in turn contaminates the water table.

If you did, you might remember when they were working at that restaurant filling used water bottles with tap water and then soldering them closed so it looked like a new bottle of fresh water. Sneaky sob's. Do you find this valuable? |

3 days after power goes out, water pumps stop working and resevoirs drain. The taps won't work.I remember the Toronto black out in 2002. I think it was in 02 anyway... The resevoirs drained after a day and a half. For the 2nd day, the water came out white and tasted like sediment. That night we had to grab water bottles from the store. Do you find this valuable? |

Water in Australia (where I live) goes through an extensive purifying process, including fluoridation. The water in storage should do me for at least two weeks, more than enough time to fill up plenty of bottles and tanks.

Bottled water comes out of a tap somewhere. When it comes to bottled water, people seem to picture a group of flower children dancing around a fresh spring, birds chirping and squirrels playing, with "Put a Little Love in Your Heart" playing in the background.Take Dasani brand water for example. Dasani is owned by Coca-cola and bottled at their Philidelphia bottling plant. All you are getting is Phily tap water ran through a filter. Same in UK - London tap water. Do you find this valuable? |

Not all bottled water is tap water. The ones labelled "mineral water" are the ones from a spring. It's a legal definition.
