Why did you post this? What are you asking here? Are you asking if a firearm would be useful to you during a zombie invasion? Well DDDUUUUHHHHH!! It's a gun. Of course it's usefull...to someone who knows how to use a gun. If you have never fired a gun before in your entire life...how useful do you think that gun will be to you? If you have never field stripped and cleaned a gun before...how long do you think that gun will function effectively. Just having a gun means nothing if you can't hit $hit with it. If you have not devoted the time and effort than all you will do is waste ammo. Read some other threads. You will learn all you ever wanted to know about guns...and that still does not mean that you will know what to do with one if I dorpped it in your lap and said, "Have at er' big boy." 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

exactly, duterfel. it is quite literally impossible to know how it feels to fire a gun without actually having done it your self.

Mind you, the article isn't about BOB's but this seems like a great spot to highlight this...Personally, I don't keep guns or ammunition in my BOB, but that's mostly because the bag I use for my BOB serves double-duty as a day hiking bag and it remains empty when not in use. My guns live in the gunsafe, my ammo is located on top of my gunsafe and the contents of my BOB live in their own medium-sized tupperwear container, ready to pack in a moment's notice. It's all within a few feet of each other. Do you find this valuable? |
