Political Compass
Jul 8 2010, 2:46 PM EDT | Post edited: Jul 8 2010, 2:46 PM EDT
I knew there were people from all over the spectrum here, but I would have guessed most would be more conservative. There are way more people leaning to the left and libertarian (bottom). Very informative. Good job Pedro. 11  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

No way, I spit on the face of teabaggers. Obama got jammed because the GOP didn't want the first black president to succeed. I'm white by the way. 3  out of 16 found this valuable. Do you?

Well, of the wide sample I have asked, I have yet to hear from a few of the people I expect to be more to the authoritarian right. I will keep this updated until the results are in. Do you find this valuable?

Don't insult other political beliefs. That's how useless arguments start.

Politics is bull@#$% and I don't ascribe myself to any followings. I make decisions based on what I believe is right for the time being. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Do you think the test just asks "Are you democrat or republican?" and then gives you your results? It's 6 pages of specific questions that you answer based on what you think is right. Political parties have nothing to do with it.

One time I thought I was a republican and I took a political quiz and realized I was liberal. It was a sobering day. 1  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

Hey guys, y'all know the rules on politics discussion - keep it clean or we get administrative. This means YOU, SterlingCooper and Drakkarius.

This has nothing to do with political issues or political parties, and any attempts at making it about that is an exercise in futility. The "Political Compass" article and corresponding thread are not license or permission to openly bash political groups that aren't in alignment with your agreement, nor is it permission to openly discuss current or past political issues. Unfortunately, these topics are taboo because of intolerance on the part of a small percentage of our members, mostly by whom refuse to acknowledge beliefs other than their own.

Besides, the only reason we don't do politics discussion here is because of folks who have to turn it into a bashing contest, as shown above. Don't make me repeat this posting.

I was not surprised to find that I am VERY moderate, but this means that I'm considerably more conservative than many of our polled members... this doesn't surprise me either. Do you find this valuable?

All I was saying was I'm moderate to the extreme ( :P contradiction). If you're giving me a warning for saying my belief then you are the one being intolerant. Please reread my comment and tell me where I bashed anyone.

Drak we've been through this before.

It has always led to flame wars.

There are no tolerance laws here. You are in a private site.

I wasn't saying @#$%. I'm not bashing anyone and not trying to incite a riot. I'm simply trying to enlighten people as to what my beliefs are because they misinterpreted me. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Quite frankly, we don't care to hear your beliefs. The reason for positng the Political Compass results was to show that there was a wide spread in the thinking on the site. Outside of that, I don't give a **** who you vote for, or what you believe.
