A good page for advice
Jul 25 2010, 1:53 PM EDT | Post edited: Jul 25 2010, 1:53 PM EDT
i have read thoroughly,

This example of the basic protections online is very welcome by myself following up on this I have taken action and installed many a "anti-virus" software although I would like to share my opinion on this page.

The controversial topic of anti-virus suites has been playing on my mind the fact that they stuff good packages with weak ones prevents me from buying any of them and I am yet to find any advice online about this matter if you could put an article up about this it would be a great thing to read.

I personally use Avira Antivir Personal. It is a free anti-virus that offers the best protection when compared to many of the free (and even paid) software. I also have an on demand scanners on my computer. I use "Malwarebytes" and "Superantispyware."

It is not recomened that you run two anti-virus's at once. Since "Malwarebytes" and "Superantispyware" are only scanners, they won't conflict with the real time protection.

Along with the anti-virus software and the on demand scanners, I use a program called "GesWall." Look at this link for a further explanation on it.

wait thats the malware program that infected my computer awhile back, it took forever to remove, it wouldn't let me do ANYTHING so i had to put the computer in safemode and restore the computer to an earlier time

What browser do you use? I would install Firefox (and add the Ad-Block plus add-on).

You should also use a program called "Ccleaner." Basically, this program deletes unneeded files from your computer (it can greatly speed up your computer). Just do not use the registry cleaner option.

I know I just said a handful, so please PM me if you have any questions.

Wow, I never knew a rouge anti-virus shared the same name as a legitimate program. Well, those rouge anti-virus's are meant to trick you.

Here is a link to the company's website.

EDIT: That picture of the rogue anti-virus looks a lot like AVG.
I really think I should write a page about computer protection.

WTF does this have to do with Zombie Survival?

Edit: To this "Candy" person, stop making threads about other threads, and please stop making threads that have absolutely nothing to do with this site.

I agree with Delta on this. It's nice to have people posting but when it's pointless posts then it's not nice, it's annoying. Of course this is a good page for advice if it wasn't a good page it would have been removed or edited.

Oh and about all the AV software I use Avast free version. It's really good for a free AV program and it's found viruses that my friend's AV software couldn't find.
