"The amount of ammo you *need* is directly proportional to the expected level of threat you expect. Double that amount and factor in 5 yrs +.

So, if your local area is 10000 people pre-Z Day, expect about 3000 zeds out of that times over 5 yrs (from other areas) for 15,000.
