There have been little to none articles of children in the z pandemic, its a great idea but there are still
things to consider such as, a sleeping bag ,children love the feeling of there own place to sleep in and it may be diffiacult if theres about a hundren zombies close bye.

Children under the age of 10 would rarely be calm in an event such as post Z-day, unless they're born in it they'll be traumatised for weeks, months, maybe years!

They'll be 100% dependend on the older guys/girls, and would not make a good guard (Maybe in the early morning after it slept enough to assist the current watch, but just to make him feel useful.)

Basically, kids will be needed, but aren't useful the first few months.

Now if you mean kids (12-18) then they might be useful, they could be brave enough, prepared enough, able to shoot a gun and well, good enough to have a good role in the group.

Kids could try to practice with weaponry that is allowed, I myself am planning on practicing with my bow and arrow (Don't let kids use melee as main weapon, you might need children to rebuild the world.

For rest, younger ones will feel alot safer if they have their parent, or parent figure with them. It would be best if there are 2 (That way they can switch if the other one has to take watch.

Edit: Damn I feel stupid now. this was a comment on a wiki page!
Guess I learn something new every day then.
Sorry for the post :p
