Taking the bag out of B.O.B?

I decided to make a new thread since the tactical vest thread seems kinda stalled out. Out of curiosity have any of you guys eyed any of the scott-e-vest gear to replace the...well...bag portion of our B.O.Bs? They are coming out with a trenchcoat in the next few months that can replace a carry on airline bag in terms of capacity and all their gear is engineered to be a: relatively bulge-less and b: have proper weight distribution. Keeping a low profile was mentioned in the last thread (incase you run into bands of other survivors that might wish to procure what you have for themselves...) and this jacket seems like one way to do that. If not to completely replace the bag, at least allowing us to carry a less obvious one that may not scream 'WELL PREPARED PERSON HERE! SHOOT ME AND TAKE MY STUFF!'. I havent purchased anything from them yet but I plan to as soon as that trench comes out.

http://scottevest.posterous.com/more-sneak-peaks-at-new-scottevest-products The coat I mentioned is the first one of the ones listed there.

It looks cool, and might be useful in some situations. But I'd probably be carrying more than that coat could hold and I like military tactical gear, easier access to my ammo and gear. Do you find this valuable?

I was a climber for many years and carried a lot of gear up and down many mountains and hills. Backpacks are for carrying heavy loads over a long time. Vests/bandoleers etc. are for gear you need quickly and they become very uncomfortable and exhausting especially if you are carrying a lot of weight over a long time. Do you find this valuable?

Yes and remember if you come under contact/attack you need to be able to throw off all the kit you don't need. That's impossible if you have it all in this jacket type thing.
