Squatters in your BOL

You have spent years prepping your BOL, and you have it in perfect condition to bug out to. After sheltering in place until you feel it is safe, you bug out to your BOL, only to find that squatters have taken your BOL, and are secured behind the walls that you yourself built, and sweated over for years.What do you do? Do you find this valuable? |

If the anhydrous doesn't lock up thier lungs and kill them it will run them out into the open where I can. Then simply open all the doors and windows, air the place out and move in. 13 out of 13 found this valuable. Do you? |

I doubt squatters could find my BOL. It's that hidden. It's not something you can just stumble upon. You'd need to know where you're going to get there.EDIT: That being said, I really like Timberrattler's answer to the problem :) Do you find this valuable? |

"I was un-hooking a anhydrous tank once and breathed a very small amount in. Its like having the breath knocked out of you by a 300 lb lineman. That was out in the open. Inside a cabin I'm pretty sure you'd be in big trouble. Since there are anhydrous ammonia tanks all over the place where I live it'd be easier to get your hands on than tear gas. Its the stuff that meth lab people are always stealing from the Co-Op and the smell is usually what gives them away. Do you find this valuable? |

If you need to run that's your destination. :) And just for the sake of completion a BOV is your Big Out Vehicle and a BOB is your Bug Out Bag. Some change the term from Bug Out to Bail Out but the intent is the same. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Thank you Carnack/LJ126. If i found someone in my BOL I guess i would shoot them before they realized i was there. I would like to alert them to leave first, but it's a possibility they may be aggressive and then i would lose my element of surprise.

I have family already living on the ranch where BOL #1 is.BOL #2 is in the middle of the woods so it would be tough to find. BOL #3 could have squatters, not sure how I would ask them to leave since they will have the high ground. Maybe they could be of some use to me? Do you find this valuable? |

I would say, "that sucks," as I proceeded to unload my shotgun into whoever is sitting there.Most likely there won't be anyone though because everything's locked and out of sight, on top of that it doesn't even look like a place that's "squatter worthy" seeing as there aren't any supplies they can just grab and it's out in the middle of nowhere. So chances of squatters being there are seriously about 5%. If it's just a couple of people though that show no signs of being a future threat, then yeah, they can stay. Otherwise I hope they enjoy getting slugs plugged into their chest. Do you find this valuable? |

It isn't a very good B.O.L. if others found it and got in after you have been stocking it up for some time. I wouldn't trust it's defensive ability if that happened, or some one misjudged and stocked up a location any one would think of. My B.O.L. is a 20 x 50 foot cement wall building with 6 windows 8 feet off the ground that don't open, well, septic tank, 2 steel doors, and an overhead garage door. It doesn't stand out and every one who knows about it only knows about I keep my antiques that I sell in it. I am the only one who knows whats in the stacks of plastic tubs and in the lockable cabinets. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Well if someone was in my BOL I would unload my BB Gun into them! Yeah that isn't nearly as awesome as Rattler's anhydrous amonia. :(

While your unloading your BB gun into them, they will unload their SHOT GUN into you. If all you have is a BB gun the best thing to do is to walk away and live to fight another day.

And where could a guy obtain some, if it is not so readily available where he lives? Do you find this valuable? |

I say maybe they will be of use to me because its my property. Being mine I would take it back. However, im trying to go the high road because rather than just kill them and take it back maybe we would be able to work together. That would be best for the other party, seeing as I win either way. Unless of course they kill me but then in that case I wont need BOL#3 anyways. Do you find this valuable? |

It would be very helpful to build in some kind of remote failsafe like Timber Rattler's for just this reason, the evict the rats and allow them to be exterminated, nothing personal but no one F's with the survival of my family.

Actually, my BOL2 is set near my BOL1 (my own home), for the purposes of retaking BOL1. I figure if I am chased out of BOL1, my best hope for survival is to take it back, so I have a nearby fall back to hold out in until the opurtunity arises to retake BOL1.
