Simple as that, once someone is over the deep end they have no use anymore. Kill them and use their body for some nice compost. Do you find this valuable?

If you're short on room you drive them far far away and dump them. Do you find this valuable?

It's pretty unlikely that you'd even have to worry about them. While such a psychological reaction is certainly possible, I can't imagine it would be all that common, so their numbers are gonna be pretty statistically insignificant to start with. Especially when compared to the seemingly infinite supply of actual zombies.

Out of the already limited number of people that go Quisling, I can't imagine most would survive for very long. Anyone traumatized enough to crack like this would likely be in a location that has become pretty overrun and engaging in this behavior would obviously leave them completely defenseless against the real McCoy.

"nice compost."
Now that's subjective.

The way I see it, the idea of quisling status being permanent is just a misunderstanding of psychology. I'm not pretending to be a psychologist here, but one of the things about the human brain is that it can be changed. And while things like PTSD can last forever, I couldn't throw someone out simply because the situation temporarily gets the better of them. If they were around me for that whole time, chances are they're on my side - and when we're all out to kill each other, I think friends will be hard to come by, no?

Don't waste your time QR; I have learned that once you start broaching the subject of psychology people will begin to tune you out.

Most users here generally prefer to just make sh*t up when it comes to the human mind, as opposed to reading books about it instead.
