zombie animals 10x greater threat than humans
Aug 27 2010, 6:43 AM EDT
in all the zombie movies, books, ect. out there, only a relatively small portion have the animals get infected, but an even smaller portion pays attention to them at all beyond a couple dogs.however, i get the feeling(and when i get these types of feelings, they're always right and have even saved my life a few times) that when the z-virus hits, all creatures in the mammal family will be vulnerable(for those of you who are like "not a big deal", learn what kind of animals are in the mammal family, then go check your pants because you probably just crapped yourself.) zombie dogs and wolves have an acute sence of smell that they can track you down with, zombie rodents can easily infiltrate regular defences, zombie bats... fly and will be a pain in the @ss, zombie dolphins and whales will spread it to all four corners of the earth, and then*gulp* dare i say it... zombie bears!(self explanitory) as you can tell, zombie humans, while still very dangerous, will be only a small problem compared to the animals. also, i know alot of you are wondering how the z-virus will go international, but after reading this, you should ask yourself how it couldn't. 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

"zanimals"That sounds like some kind of cookie. You could use the rats to teach people how to shoot with minimal danger. It could be a good first duty for the younger survivors. Just give them a .22 and have an older person nearby to shoot any that get within a certain distance (can't let anyone get infected). Do you find this valuable? |

not even a .22, you could use a bb gun and still be able to kill them yet not waste valuble ammo. and people said kids will be a liability.anyway, i would like to point out that i disbelieve in shamblers, instead these animals will be ragers. and yes, that means rager bears. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Rager bears... I would like to repeat my O_OYou may be right about the bb guns, though you would want stronger ones just to be sure. No point getting someone infected if you can avoid it. Do you find this valuable? |

ok ever wondered why rabies didnt infect all animals?kuz other animals run from infected animals and can defend themselves and can detect an infected animal also rabies doesnt work so good on humans, which COULD mean that z virus does not work on that way on animals 1 out of 3 found this valuable. "ok ever wondered why rabies didnt infect all animals? There is always the chance of them getting bitten when they can't run (cornered, exhausted, etc.) and becoming infected. Seeing your post reminds me that I need an avatar. Do you find this valuable? |

"ok ever wondered why rabies didnt infect all animals?when did i mention raibies? also, ever wonder why rabies hasn't led to the fall of civilization? perhaps we could be dealing with a bioweapon or something. also, about the bioweapon thing, wouldn't it be the most devastating weapon ever? alright, i think i was able to decipher your horribly mutilated spelling and grammar, and yes, it would be the most devastating weapon ever(it kills PLANETS, for pete sake) and look at the other weapons people have made and used: some people are full of hate and malice. end of conversation, i'd like this not to turn into a flame war.P.S. ever heard the quote from Einstein after the nukes were set off "i dont know what weopons world war 3 will be fought with, but i know world war 4 will be fought with sticks and stones." the z-weapon is the true embodiment of that statement. "animals dont fight1. O_O really? Animals don't fight? I am not even going to try to fight you on that one. 2. Exactly, if it is hurt and infected, other animals will eat it infecting themselves. 3. No one knows, that is why we prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Do you find this valuable? |

Think of this however, If an animal were to become infected and IF it became a zombie, it would be far away in the wilderness, where most of the animals will retreat to once the cities become overrun. In addition, if an animal were to become infected, I highly doubt that the other animals of the group would allow it, they'd kill them off. Also, in some cases zombified animals isn't a bad thing, because take a look, Bears are already ten times more powerful then humans, which leads to the conclusion that other then becoming smarter there is no real way for them to be any more dangerous (If they were ragers) If they aren't ragers they're classic G.A.R. zombies in which case they're dumber then before, and slower, making them easy prey (Not for eating though) for anyone with their weapons in sights. "Think of this however, If an animal were to become infected and IF it became a zombie, it would be far away in the wilderness, where most of the animals will retreat to once the cities become overrun.Problem with the "kill them off" part: When the infected animal is attacked is it going to let itself die? It would fight back and infect the other animals. And if we are preparing for zombies, we might as well prepare for "zanimals" using trophykiller's term. Do you find this valuable? |
