may be an explosion directioner (like a pipe filled with explosive that you ignite)

"may be an explosion directioner (like a pipe filled with explosive that you ignite)"We could have a hammer, and put pressure sensitive explosives on the end. not alot, but the concussion from that could easily destroy a zombie part. it would direct the explosion too. Do you find this valuable? |

assuming a have whatever resourses i need: a make-shift spear gun or crossbow. with some surgical tubing i could creat enough forward movement to force a hammer through a skull or even a length of pvc with the end shaved to create a needle like projectile...

"assuming a have whatever resourses i need: a make-shift spear gun or crossbow. with some surgical tubing i could creat enough forward movement to force a hammer through a skull or even a length of pvc with the end shaved to create a needle like projectile..."hmm well theres a problem with piercing weapons. if you just poke a deep hole in the zombie, that won't do much. If you could use that to break bones, break through the skull, that would be fantastic. Do you find this valuable? |

"that sounds like a nordic god to me"It sounds like self-inflicting death (I believe the proper term is "Suicide") to me. Do you find this valuable? |

Anything like that would be a mistake. You'd kill yourself the first time you used it.If you are making your own weapons, stick to bladed and blunt weapons. No moving parts, very little potential to break. Do you find this valuable? |

"yes, but alot of people on this website don't."did you read the thread?? it says: Lets assume you had no idea what a weapon was. However, you have access to modern equipment, and UNDERSTAND HOW THEY WORK. You need to protect yourself against zombies with DIY killing equipment. What do you do. Do you find this valuable? |

I suppose i'm misunderstanding the point of the thread. You are hypothetically saying that you have no clue what a weapon is, but you have modern tools. And you need to protect yourself by making a weapon, even though you have no idea what a weapon is?

the whole thing just seems to contradict itself. Now you are suggesting that you are making a gun, not limited by today's standards, yet using modern technology,

so why not say "make an unconventional firearm"?Honestly short of making a bow type weapon, everything else would end up resembling a firearm. Humans have spent quite a bit of time devising ways of killing each other, so short of a classified weapon that our government has stashed somewhere, firearms are really as good as it gets. Potato gun with an explosive shell?like a soda bottle filled with nails, gun powder, and a firework fuse out the back end, the fuse lit by th detonation of the cannon, sending the shell far, then explosion + shrapnel Do you find this valuable? |

i'd saw off the end of a long, metal pipe so it has a spear like tip. oh, and yes, i do realize its not a gun, but it'd be very effective in the zombie apocolypse anyway.
