As 1 im not a pilot And 2 Im not a airfield mechanic of any sort BUT you say 9- 10 people plus BOBs and some cargo Why not strip the damn thing. Pretty sure a couple guys that know there way around a tool room could rip out all the seats and extraneous stuff in WAY less then an hour. Then you might be able to load another couple hundred to couple thousand pounds of gear. Sacrifice some safety for better survival later? Do you find this valuable?

i don't know, but if the situation requires you to carry lots of stuff, then I would do it

Because the plane would most likely be the expensive rental. And rental companies frown on clients shredding the equipment and throwing it out of the door.

It's a question of budget.

To buy a plane capable of the journey would be several times my complete plan cost.

Renting would be hellishly expensive, but it's possible I could stretch to it, if necessary.

Commercial flights are cheap, but I would need to act quickly, before the general public notices what is happening.

Stealing a plane leaves things to chance. I don't like this.
