After collecting quite a few can goods I started to realize how much the weight was starting to add up on my BOB's. Ive found that MRE's are a little on the expensive side and I am looking for food to add to my BOB's that is both cost and weight effective. The thought of dehydrating food came to mind but Im not sure how long it would last and how I should store it. I was thinking to get the most life out of it I would put it in some of those vacuum seal bags to remove all the air but how long will they last? It would be a variety of meat, fruits and vegetables. Do you find this valuable?
