How exactly does one smoke meat? Do you find this valuable?

Just something to let you look into it with more detail and maybe even pick up a few recipes.

You can smoke meat many ways. We have a brick smokehouse at our BOL. My advice is to practice a few recipes now and that way post SHTF you will be a beast on the smoker.

What IMMC said.

I smoke meat using my grill and smoke box. It's not nearly as efficient as a smokehouse but works well for smaller quantities of meat. If you want to smoke a BUNCH of meat, a smokehouse is really the only way to go.

Wow do not just put "smoking-meat" in a search engine,,,, way different site.XD

Anyway I've used the little chef smoker before and had rather good results with the cheap little hot plate in a tin can.
