We show no love for each other. If the apoc did happen I for one would be proud to see politics overthrown. Maybe just maybe good people, honest people will survive and be able to help us guide ourselves into a better future. Divided we fall...pfft we have been divided since the days of the civil war.(You cannot attest to this since your from UK I presume) Heck we were divided as mankind even before that. Many men have died to ensure that we have a free country to live in. There are now a lot of people attacking our freedom. It's like a constant beat-down from liberals telling us we are politically incorrect and insensitive. People cave after a while and instate laws that restrict our freedoms. That's probably because we've seen or can see the benifit of such a system. And, I can't seem to stress this enough, if everyone agrees with it, i.e. they are nationalist thinkers aswell then its not a bad thing. I hate it when people read my posts and think "Omg this guy just wants to take our freedoms so I wont bother to read anymore of it." Forcing people into such a society is wrong and is pointless. The reason why I do not believe in any form of conscription is because to do my job I personally believe you should want to do it. Unhappy soldiers are bad soldiers. Same goes for citizens.
