"what is this "charcloth"?"
When you make fire using a Flint and Steel the charcloth is what catches the spark. Then as it smolders you put it in your tinder and while blowing on it [works best if you hold over your head some] it catches on fire.

I didn't watch the video but I have made lots of charcloth
Cut cotton cloth into squares and place in a small closed tin with a small pin hole punched in the top. A candy or cough drop tin is fine and it can be used to carry your flint , steel and charcloth.
Put the tin on your coals and watch for smoke to come out of the hole. When it does take tin out and close off hole
After cooled take out the charcloth which should be black but not burned up or falling apart [got to hot]

With practice and a good fire steel and flint you can start a fire about as easy as using a match

do you know what Charcoal is? its just a cloth version, you make it by burning a natural fibre in an oxygen depleted environment (i used a shoe polish container with a hole punched in the top) put it in a fire (near the flame, not actually inside the fire) until it stops smoking

Any public park with grills is an ok spot... Just put in your charcoal, start the fire with lighter fluid like normal... when it burns down either set the tin next to the coals, on the coals, or set the grill as low as it will go and put the tin over the hottest part.
