"There's a club not too far from me that teaches this. Although I haven't trained in it too much, a lot of people do like it, and I know this club trains some pretty hard-core types (like high level elite police teams- think Emergency Task Force). I'v e talked about the club to a Russian friend of mine who trained in Combat Sambo before he left the country, and he hasd been by this club as well- he talks pretty highly about the instructor. This leads me to believe that it may have some merrit, or the instructor is really good and teaches his own thing that doesn't really match what the other Systema guys are doing. Havwen't seen too much on youtube about it, but if they are promotiung the style- maybe they are just showing the most flashy techniques they can think of, and not what they actually train in.

I've heard like Kali, their stick and knife stuff could be pretty good. Other thoughts?"
